Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce said today (June 29), that the government’s 100 percent waiver of VAT, import and other related duties for some cleaning products has been extended.

The extension will run from July 1, to September 30, 2020.

The ministry says the extension is “in an effort to control the prices of certain cleaning supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic”.

The products include bleach, disinfectants, gloves, wipes, masks, liquid hand soap and hydrogen peroxide, among others.

The extension was approved by Cabinet.
