Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – One person who “is considered to have broken the quarantine order” has been referred to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) says.
The individual who has not been named recently arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The move comes as there have been calls by members of the public for authorities to deal with quarantine breakers due to the potential risks their actions can pose to the public regarding the spread of COVID-19.
Earlier this month, persons who arrived in the country and tested negative for COVID-19, but who were ordered to stay in quarantine, broke their orders and went to night clubs and church gatherings, in a considerable short period of time after their arrival.
