Shock, sadness on the passing of prominent law lecturer

Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Prominent Law lecturer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies, Ms. Cheryl-Ann Melany Smith, died on Sunday (August 9).

Smith, 59, a Trinidadian-born, known for her impact as a law lecturer in St. Vincent, died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.

One News SVG understands that Smith was ill and she succumbed to her illness.

Smith, produced several prominent lawyers and several notable professionals in their respective fields.

News of her death sent shock waves throughout the country.
