Arnos Vale, an area slowly being converted into a new city, will get a shopping mall by the Christmas 2020 shopping season.
Finance Minister, Camillo Gonsalves, in a Facebook post today (September 14), said plans are apace to convert the vacant passenger terminal building at the former E.T Joshua Airport to a Modern Retail and Entertainment Plaza.
The National Properties Limited is responsible for the property.
Gonsalves said construction underway despite some COVID-related delays.

He said the first tenants of the shopping center including ACE Hardware, Courts, BoSVG, a Food Court, and many retailers, will be in place for the Christmas shopping season.
“The entire Joshua Centre – which includes the new wing you see in the concept drawings – should be completed around March,” he stated in the post.
In the 2020 budget address, Gonsalves had said that the National Properties had seen an overwhelming number of expressions of interest from local business entities for occupancy at the entity.
