Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a total of 100 COVID-19 cases, of which 82 have recovered.
Two new imported cases moved the country into the 100 mark.
One case is a non-national who arrived on December 7, 2020 from the United States. The individual tested negative on entry screening and on day 5 of quarantine. They however, tested positive on day eight of quarantine.
The second case arrived from the United Kingdom on December 12 with a negative COVID-19 test. But, they tested positive of entry screening.
The adult travelers were in mandatory quarantine and will be isolated until they are cleared by two negative tests.
Contact tracing and testing have commenced.
There are now 18 active COVID-19 cases in SVG, all of which are imported.
