Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Some 10 months after coming into existence as a pilot project, One News SVG is being rebranded.
The rebranding will see less focus on daily news updates and more focus on features.
There will be fewer daily postings of news stories, especially those that can be found on other local news sites and a shift towards unique storytelling strategies to highlight development issues.
As part of the rebranding effort, the name of the entity is also being considered for a change to One SVG Stories, rather than One News SVG.
The colour is expected to stay red with minor changes to the logo.
The move comes after additional research into the information needs of the primary audience in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the diaspora, and the needs of the secondary audience, including seekers of information about St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
One News SVG started on March 25, 2020, and has gained over half-a-million reads on its website. The entity also has over 6,000 likes and over 7,000 followers on Facebook and over 700 followers on Instagram.
The changes are expected to take effect as early as February 2021.
