As at September 30, 2021, the total public debt of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines amounted two billion and eighty-three million, six hundred and seventy-one thousand, two hundred and sixty-five
dollars ($2,083,671,265).
According to Finance Minister Camillo Gonsalves, this figure is 13.1 percent more than the total
disbursed outstanding public debt for the comparative period in 2020.
Mr. Gonsalve who was presenting the 2022 Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure in Parliament on December 13 said the total Domestic Debt which amounted to $525.4 million as at September 30,
2021, decreased by 1.6 percent or $8.7 million when compared with the domestic
debt for the same period in 2020.
He said the external debt for the period stood at $1.558 billion, an increase of 19.2 percent or $251 million when compared with the external debt as at September 30, 2020.
