Nurses in St Vincent and the Grenadines would receive an honorarium on their salary for December 2021.
This was disclosed by Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves on Sunday.
Gonsalves said he gave authorization for some seven hundred nurses to be paid an honorarium of 500 dollars for this month.
The Prime Minister said he hopes the health care workers will receive payment before Christmas.
An honorarium is a payment given for professional services rendered nominally without charge.
On Friday, Gonsalves said there are several other workers he would want to give an honorarium, including many teachers who worked during the La Soufriere eruption.
The government is also paying 10 Million Dollars in support for farmers, workers, and the vulnerable in the month of December.
