Vincentian Justice Colin Williams appointed judge in Virgin Islands

The Judicial and Legal Services Commission of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court has appointed His Lordship the Hon. Justice Colin Williams as a judge to the Territory of the Virgin Islands.

According to the Court’s website, the appointment is for the period 1st February to 31st March 2022.

Mr. Colin Williams, who is Vincentian born, served as Director of Public Prosecutions – DPP in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from 2003 until 2018.

Justice Williams previously served in Antigua and Barbuda as well as in Belize after he left his DPP post in 2018.

He was appointed to serve in Belize for a one year stint to clear up a backlog of criminal cases.
