The 2022 edition of the Digicel SVG Gospel Fest now into its second month of activities, will continue this weekend with the staging of three major shows at the Russell’s Auditorium.
On Friday evening, twenty seven dance performances in solos, duets and groups will be on stage from 8.00 O’clock in the SVG TCCU Ltd, ‘Dance Praise’.
Coordinator of SVG Gospel Fest Michael Peters said: “This very popular show will feature groups such as: KLT Dancers, Ecclesia, Rooted Dance Ministry and others.”
On Saturday evening, it will be the staging of the first ever Valupak ‘Drama Praise’ with presentations of poetry, monologues, spoken word, mimes and skits.
Peters said: “This show is being introduced as the Gospel Fest Committee seeks to provide avenues for gospel artistes to showcase their talents in all areas of the performing arts.”
The ASL Auto ‘Symphonies of Praise’ will be held on Sunday evening with instrumental musical performances on steel pan, guitar, trumpet, violin and keyboards.
All of the festival programs are now open to public attendance following recent adjustments to the Covid protocols. There will also be live streaming on the SVG Gospel Fest Facebook page and other social media platforms.
Digicel SVG Gospel Fest 2022 which began on March 13th, will run until May 1st with the National Gospel Showcase. The festival has as its theme: ‘A Glorious Celebration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ’.”
