Third-term elected member of Parliament, Saboto Caesar, 41, is currently acting as the Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr. Caesar who represents the constituency of South Central Windward in Parliament is currently acting as prime minister as both prime minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and deputy prime minister Montgomery Daniel are out of State.
On Sunday, Mr. Caesar was videotaped exiting the official transportation of the prime minister which has the number plate – G7. He was headed to church.
Mr. Caesar was first elected to Parliament in the December 13, 2010 general elections at the age of 29. He is seen as a leading contending figure for the leadership of the incumbent Unity Labour Party – ULP which is aiming for a sixth consecutive term in office when general elections are held again by 2025.
The party is set to have its convention on July 31, 2022, where the position of deputy political leader is expected to be considered for a new holder.
According to the Office of the Prime Minister, Prime Minister, Dr. Hon Ralph Gonsalves, met on Saturday July 16, 2022, with officials of the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the capital city Caracas, en route to Nicaragua. Dr. Gonsalves, who is on a 5 day official mission to the Central American country, made the brief stop in Venezuela to meet with representatives of the government and other officials.
The Deputy Prime Minister Hon Montgomery Daniel, who is a part of the delegation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, accompanied Prime Minister Gonsalves during the discussions.
The other members of the delegation include wife of the Prime Minister Mrs. Eloise Gonsalves, Mr Dyke Cato, and Mr John Nero community activists, Inspector Irwin Adams Security Officer, and Sehon Marshall, Press Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister. The delegation will leave Venezuela for Nicaragua on Sunday July 17, 2022.
