TRENDING: Arnos Vale stadium facelift should include lighting, digital screen

Several members of the public, including sports enthusiasts, have responded positively to the news of the planned $2.3 million upgrade to the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.

But some persons have said that the facelift of the stadium should include lighting and the installation of a digital screen.

On August 24, 2022, the Agency for Public Information – API announced the Government’s plan to give approximately 2.3 million dollars in upgrades to the facility.

In a press release, the API said the work will be carried out in the Double Decker Stand, the Frank Thomas Stand, the Bleachers, the Michael Findley Pavilion, the Administrative Building and the Media Center.

It said the works will be carried out between K-Electric Company Ltd and Browne’s Design and Construction Services Ltd, and the Government.

The release stated that Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports – Raymond Ryan explained that the completed repairs will enable the facility to host local, regional and international games in an effort to generate additional revenue.
