Redemption Sharpes shopkeeper shot multiple times, killed

Dead is Bertram Saunders, a shopkeeper of Redemption Sharpes who was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant at about 1:45 a.m. this morning (September 12).

According to reports, Mr. Saunders was shot in his shop adjacent to the Redemption Sharpes playing field .

Mr. Saunders was not known to be involved in any gang related activities.

Police are working with the theory that the motive behind his death might have been robbery.
