GHS shines despite national decline in 2022 CXC CSEC performance

Despite an overall drop in the nation’s 2022 Caribbean Examinations Council – Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate – CXC CSEC performance, the St. Vincent Girls’ High School maintained their outstanding results.

The nation’s leading secondary school, academically, recorded a 96.88 percent pass rate in the exams.

The national pass rate this year is 66.55 percent, down from 83.48 percent in 2021, and 81.86 percent in 2020.

The second best performance for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the 2022 CSEC results was from the St. Vincent Grammar School with a 91 percent pass rate.

The results were announced on September 15 after a delay. The ministry’s said in a press release that it had to settle some discrepancies with the preliminary results before releasing them.

Meanwhile, four (4) students from the GHS achieved outstanding results, each attaining 14 subjects.
