In the number one spot was Burna Boy’s – ‘Last Last’ while the third sport was held by Chris Brown’s – ‘Under the Influence’.
Kpalanga was recorded on September 13 and released on October 14.
The love song which has an afro-Caribbean feel with a touch of R&B was written, recorded, mixed, mastered and distributed by Joshua CHILLBILL Lewis.
Mr. Lewis, a musician co-released an R&B album in February 2022 with Joel “King Of Royalty” Bute entitled – Retrospect.
The solo release of the single – Kpalanga by Mr. Lewis in October 2022 has a story behind it.

In an interview with One News SVG on Wednesday, October 19, Lewis told One News SVG the song’s production and release were not planned.
He said its formulation only came about after a melody came to his head after being sad from not being selected for showcase he had applied to be part of.
“It was something that I really wanted to be part of (the showcase) and I was denied. I felt bad about it and I was dwelling on it. It was making me sad, and it was the very next day I went to the studio to help somebody with a song,” the musician and music producer said.
He said after helping someone else in the studio with a different song, he had to get his own song done based on the melody he had had in his head earlier.
“I was granted the opportunity to record, and I just recorded it on my phone, and then I made the beat and the rest is history. That’s how the song came about. It was a freestyle. It was written in like 45 minutes,” Mr. Lewis said.
“I put on the mic and just did like anything that came to mind. Anything that came to mind, I kept that. I wrote it down and then recorded it. That’s how it came about. I produced the song, did the musical arrangements and the mixing and mastering and I distributed it,” he said.
“It was recorded on September 13 and released on October 14,” he added.
