The price for gasoline at the pumps in SVG is now at sixteen-dollars-and-fourteen cents ($16.14) per gallon.
This represents a decrease by $2.10 cents.
Gasoline was $18.16 per gallon at the pumps.
The price change took effect on Monday, October 31, 2022.
According to the State-owned Agency for Public Information – API, the price change was announced by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves during his independence address.
The price of diesel at the pumps has also decreased by $1, down from $17.44 per gallon to $16.44 per gallon at the maximum retail price.
As Saint Vincent and the Grenadines grappled with the effects of high global petroleum prices, Cabinet had approved the increases in petroleum products on Wednesday 27th July 2022.
Those increases took effect on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
The recent announcement of the October 31 decrease in prices is expected to be welcomed news for many Vincentians.
