One News SVG is able to confirm that a man was shot and killed tonight (January 21) on the Grenadine island of Bequia.
Dead is Mr. Frankie Mitchell.
He was shot in the quiet community of Friendship.
The circumstances behind his shooting are currently unclear.
Reports are that he recently returned to St. Vincent and the Grenadines and was planning to open a new business in Bequia.
The incident follows a few recent stabbing incidents on the island, one of which has left one female hospitalized.
