The body of American actor – Christian Klesper, professionally known as Christian Oliver, and those of his two daughters have arrived in the USA and a small ceremony was held in their honour.
Oliver was known for his roles in “Hunters” and “Speed Racer”.
A post made on the official Instagram Account of Christian Oliver on January 16 said:
“We finally got their bodies home and said farewell yesterday in a small ceremony in LA, including only immediate family and closest friends.”
“There will be a celebration of life at a later time, as per Jessica’s and his parents [sic] wishes,” the post added.
The actor and his two daughters – Madita and Annik died tragically on January 4, 2024, after the one-engine aircraft in which they were traveling crashed in waters off Bequia.
The other occupant of the aircraft – the pilot also died.
The Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority has begun its investigations into the matter.
The January 16 Instagram post stated:
“On January 4th, three of the dearest people in my life passed away during a plane crash on Bequia. That fateful day Christian took his 2 daughters Madita and Annik fishing in the morning, before heading to the airport. After a magical weeklong holiday with friends, Christian found out his original flight was cancelled.”
“A chance encounter in a dive-shop with a pilot meant this was of no consequence. He was excited to get back home to finish a movie and to celebrate a belated new year with the rest of his family,” the post stated.
The post said: “Christian left behind many life-times of friendships, thousands of moments of near endless joy and laughter, memories of a man who lived to the tullest, a true dreamer and doer, a fierce friend and absolutely unique individual that did not waste his time doing things he didn’t want to do. A sensitive soul in the body of a leading man, who prioritized his daughters and friends above anything”.
“Christian left us in his prime, he exited the stage stronger than he has ever been. I have no words to describe the in-fathomable loss of his beautiful, kind and curious girls. Solace can be found that they are and were with their Dad, who undoubtedly assured them all will be fine until the end,” the post stated.
“They are and always will be together. They are leaving behind their mother Jessica (the strongest woman you will ever meet), Christian’s parents, Ursel and Gerhard, his sister Sanni, his girlfriend Taylor and many many more. I know that Christian would want us to ensure they are fine, and that is what we will do. No one brought people together better than Christian, and we will circle around his loved ones to honor that,” the post stated.
