Police have charged Rosia John of Layou with possession of controlled drugs. She is the mother of Enrique “Shobu” John, a 29-year-old labourer killed in the double homicide at Stoney Ground on April 10.

Ms John was charged today (April 16), following a police search that uncovered cocaine and marijuana.

This is the second incident involving the family this week. Ms John will appear in court soon to answer the charges.

The development comes as investigations continue into the deaths of Enrique John, Raheem Guy of Barrouallie/Layou, and Perrance Matthews of Layou—all victims of gun violence in the past week.

One News SVG will continue to track these stories and provide updates.
