Soca Relations Moves to August 1-2

Passion and Drive Studio has announced that its 2026 flagship production, Soca Relations, has been rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, 2026.

According to the studio, the decision followed a logistical review conducted by the production team and Director David “Darkie” Williams.

In a statement to partners, the studio said the move was prompted by “extreme calendar congestion, venue constraints, and major event clashes” during the peak carnival season.

The studio said staging the production at the start of August would place it outside of the busiest period of the carnival season.

Organisers have also expanded the showcase into a two-night weekend event. The studio said the change is intended to provide increased visibility and audience engagement opportunities for sponsors while maintaining existing sponsorship commitments.

Passion and Drive Studio further stated that the revised timeline would provide additional time for its youth training laboratory and technical crew to prepare for the production’s stage elements.

The studio said all active sponsorship terms, billboard placements, digital branding integrations, and corporate ticket allocations will remain in place and transition directly to the August 1-2 weekend.

Marketing materials and billboard assets are currently being updated to reflect the new dates.
