South Rivers Methodist Remains Unbeaten as Inter-Primary Cricket Continues

South Rivers Methodist School remains unbeaten as the 2026 Inter-Primary Schools Developmental Cricket Competition continued on Friday, May 29, 2026, with teams across all zones recording victories and strong performances on another busy day of action.

According to a recently issued press release from the Division of Sports and Physical Activities, South Rivers Methodist School secured a 17-run victory over Owia Government in Zone One at the London Playing Field. South Rivers Methodist posted 210 for 9 in their 20 overs, led by Allison Dalzell who scored 23. Owia Government responded with 193 for 9 in their 20 overs. Amallie Lavia took 5 for 21 for Owia Government, while also scoring an even 50 with the bat. Allison Dalzell returned figures of 3 for 11 for South Rivers Methodist.

Still in Zone One, Sandy Bay Government defeated Tourama Government by 29 runs. Sandy Bay Government scored 180 for 8 in their 20 overs, with Jaydante Baptiste scoring 12. Tourama Government’s Tzante Lavia took 4 for 25. Tourama Government were restricted to 151 all out in their 20 overs, with Joshua Richards taking 3 for 16 for Sandy Bay Government.

In Zone Two at the Stubbs Playing Field, Georgetown Government defeated Pamelus Burke Government by 115 runs. Georgetown Government made 211 for 7 in their 20 overs, with Zorono Young scoring 19. Pamelus Burke Government were restricted to 96 for 9 in their 20 overs, as Chrisron Adams and Armando Deshong both took 3 for 7 and 3 for 8, respectively.

Zone Three saw Sion Hill Government defeat Belair Government by 31 runs at the Belair Playing Field. Sion Hill Government posted 253 for 6 in their 20 overs, with Samelus Clarke scoring 25. Belair Government replied with 222 for 6 in their 20 overs, with Aaron Williams scoring 34. Geron Richards took 2 for 19.

Also in Zone Three, Dorsetshire Hill Government defeated Gomea Government by 97 runs. Dorsetshire Hill Government scored 234 for 8 in their 20 overs. Gomea Government were dismissed for 137 all out in their 20 overs, with Jaylani John taking 3 for 14. Uzziah Holder took 4 for 15 and Jahmarly Greaves 3 for 18.

In Zone Four at Buccament Playing Field, Fitz Hughes Government defeated Fair Hall Government by 113 runs. Fitz Hughes Government scored 161 for 7, before bowling out Fair Hall Government for 48 in 19 overs. Aldanzo Samuel took 7 for 10.

Canouan Government also recorded a 114-run victory over Clare Valley Government. Canouan Government made 214 all out in their 20 overs, while Clare Valley Government were bowled out for 110. Maggio Jackson returned figures of 5 for 15.

Fixtures are scheduled to continue on Monday, June 1, 2026, with Zone Three matches at the Belair Playing Field. Dorsetshire Hill Government will face Belmont Government from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by Sion Hill Government against Gomea Government from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The preliminary round-robin stage of the competition will continue until Tuesday, June 2, 2026, after which the top two teams from each zone will advance to the knockout stages.
