The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union (SVGTU) is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Industrial Relations and Research Officer (IRRO).

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Labour and Employment Relations and/or a related field, as well as knowledge of labour laws and the laws governing the teaching profession. Candidates should also have adequate knowledge of the SVGTU’s Grievance Procedure, Constitution, and Code of Ethics, along with basic computer skills and strong oral and written communication abilities. A valid driver’s licence is also required.

The duties of the position include conducting research, participating in negotiations, handling grievances, developing and implementing training programmes, recruiting members, and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
