South Rivers Methodist crowned SVG Inter-Primary cricket champions

South Rivers Methodist School have been crowned champions of the 2026 SVG Inter-Primary Schools Developmental Cricket Competition after edging Owia Government School in a closely contested final on Thursday 11th June at the Park Hill Playing Field.

The defending champions retained their title in a closely contested encounter decided by nine runs.

In the third-place playoff, Georgetown Government School defeated Biabou Methodist School by 105 runs.

Georgetown Government posted 249 for 5 from their 20 overs, with Zorano Lewis scoring 31. Biabou Methodist were bowled out for 144 in response, with Jaysean John producing a standout performance of 6 for 7 in three overs.

The competition also recognised individual excellence at the awards presentation.

Amallie Lavia of Owia Government was named Top Run Scorer with 239 runs, while Uzziah Holder of Dorsetshire Hill Government School finished as Leading Wicket Taker with 19 wickets.

Sommer Chance of South Rivers Methodist was named Best Wicket Keeper, while Shania Shallow of South Rivers Methodist was awarded Best Female Player.

Steven Glasgow of South Rivers Methodist was named Most Valuable Player of the final, while Amallie Lavia of Owia Government was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.


The result marked a repeat of the 2025 final, with South Rivers Methodist once again coming out on top.
