Thomas Saunders Secondary School has opened the tender process for the operation of its school tuck shop, inviting interested service providers to submit proposals for a new lease agreement.

According to a notice issued by Principal Mrs Nicole McLean, the school is reviewing its existing tuck shop arrangement and is seeking a provider capable of managing all aspects of the operation, including stock control, cash management, menu planning and day-to-day service delivery to students and staff.

The successful applicant will be awarded an initial 12-month contract and will be required to pay a monthly rental fee to the school. The notice states that upon completion of the initial term, the school reserves the right to renegotiate the agreement or re-advertise the contract if necessary.

Interested bidders are required to submit a comprehensive business plan detailing how the tuck shop will be managed and operated. Applicants must also provide resumes of key personnel, references, contact information, identification documents for staff members, a proposed menu with selling prices, and proof of food-handler certification for all persons involved in food preparation and handling.

School officials said the selected provider will be expected to offer a varied menu that meets the needs of the school community while maintaining appropriate standards of food safety and service.

Tender submissions must be delivered to Thomas Saunders Secondary School no later than Monday, July 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

The school noted that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviews.

All proposals should be addressed to the Principal, Thomas Saunders Secondary School.
