The destination has been nominated for Caribbean’s Leading Green Destination 2026 and Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination 2026.
The destination is joined by Mustique, which has been nominated for Caribbean’s Leading Luxury Island Destination 2026.
Six other tourism operators and properties linked to St. Vincent and the Grenadines are competing for regional titles. The nominations come as SVG continues to build a strong record at the World Travel Awards.
According to the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA), the destination was named Caribbean’s Leading Green Destination in both 2024 and 2025, while it captured Caribbean’s Leading Nature Destination in 2024.
SVG also received global recognition in 2024 when it was named World’s Leading Nature Destination.
The 2026 nominations place particular emphasis on two areas closely associated with SVG’s tourism offering, its natural environment and sustainability credentials, while also showcasing the range of luxury and specialised tourism experiences available across the islands.
SVG Tourism Authority Chief Executive Officer Shafia London is encouraging Vincentians at home and abroad, tourism stakeholders, visitors and friends of the destination to support the nominees by voting before the deadline.
Voting is currently open and is scheduled to close on Friday, August 28, 2026.
The nominations also place SVG alongside destinations and tourism operators from across the Caribbean competing for recognition in the World Travel Awards Caribbean regional programme.
For SVG, the recognition extends beyond its nature tourism offering, with the 2026 nominations covering a private island destination, an all inclusive resort, private villas, a wedding resort, a luxury resort and a private aviation service.
With voting closing in one week, the SVGTA is calling on the public to support the country’s nominees.
