An elderly woman was reportedly found tied up and beaten in the community of Brighton this morning (August 28), well-placed sources have said.
The woman was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the situation are unknown at this time.
Police are investigating.
The news comes weeks after 84-year-old farmer Lida Lewis was strangled, sexually assaulted, and killed in Peruvian Vale on July 2.
There are no investigative updates on that particular case.
