Rainforest Caribbean is inviting applications for the position of Country Manager in St Vincent and the Grenadines, as the company looks to strengthen leadership across its food processing, distribution and retail operations.
According to the vacancy notice, the successful applicant will be responsible for driving business growth, improving profitability and ensuring operational excellence while leading a high-performing management team. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the industry and supporting the company’s market expansion efforts.
The company said it is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and hands-on professional with the ability to balance business performance, people leadership, customer relations, regulatory compliance and strategic planning.
Among the key responsibilities are providing overall leadership for the company’s food processing plant, commercial operations and retail stores, while ensuring operational, sales and financial targets are achieved.
The successful candidate will also oversee budgets, monitor financial and operational performance, approve local expenditures and contracts, and implement strategic initiatives aimed at increasing market share, profitability and efficiency.
Additional duties include leading workforce planning and recruitment, managing employee performance, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and maintaining relationships with customers, suppliers, fishermen, financial institutions, regulators and other key stakeholders.
The role also requires ensuring compliance with food safety requirements, labour laws, occupational health and safety standards, and other applicable regulations. The Country Manager will also monitor trends in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector and represent the company at industry events and professional networking functions.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Food Processing or a related discipline, along with at least seven years of senior management experience, preferably in food processing or general business operations.
Rainforest Caribbean is also seeking candidates with strong strategic planning and leadership abilities, excellent communication and analytical skills, proven experience driving sales growth and operational improvements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems.
