Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Vincentians are being urged to prepare for moderate to heavy showers and gusty winds today, November 1, as a line of convective clouds is approaching the country.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Office says a flash-flood warning remains in effect for the country.

“Be prepared for moderate to heavy showers, winds gusting near approximately 70 km/h ( ~38 knots) , possible thunderstorms and poor visibility in the next 30 mins” the Met office published at around 8:30 p.m.

A few days ago, heavy rains caused by the presence of a Tropical Wave and an Upper-Level Trough caused flooding, landslides, power and water supply outages and damaged house roofs.
