Persons in St. Vincent and the Grenadines who might be interested in air traffic control have an opportunity to pursue a diploma program in the field.
According to Dictionary.com, air traffic control is a government service that facilitates the safe and orderly movement of aircraft within and between airports by receiving and processing data from radar and devices that monitor local weather conditions and by maintaining radio contact with pilots.
According to the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Air Traffic Control – SVGATC, “persons interested in applying for the Air Traffic Control Diploma program at the Trinidad and Tobago Civil Aviation Training Centre are asked to contact us via email at: catcsvg@gmail.com for more information.”
The Diploma in Aerodrome and Approach Control offered by the Civil Aviation Training Center in Trinidad and Tobago is a blended program with theory offered virtually and practicals offered face-to-face.
The program runs from August 2022 to April 28, 2023.
The Training Centre says on its website that it has local and international accreditation through the Accreditation Council of Trinidad & Tobago. It is also an ICAO Trainair Plus Full Member and an IATA Authorized Training Centre.
