Opposition leader releases his carnival songs

If there was any doubt as to whether Dr. Godwin Friday, Leader of the Opposition had a carnival playlist, a post on Thursday on his official Facebook page made things clear.

According to the post on the official page of Dr. Friday, with the caption “These are the songs I have on repeat this Carnival season…,” the opposition leader is listening to both calypso and soca songs produced for Vincy Mas for 2022.

In the calypso category, the opposition leader is listening to seven songs on repeat, including Abijah’s “who put them so done dead,” and Tajoe’s “Devil’s Advocate”.

In the soca category, he is listening to six (6) songs on repeat including Karbon Jamz’s “Bread and Butter” and Grabba Finesse’s “Place turn over”.

This year’s Soca Monarch Competition is scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2022, while the Calypso monarch is scheduled for Sunday, July 3, 2022.
