Officials confirmed with One News St. Vincent at 7:27 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022, that 5 people have died as a result of an accident that occurred at Old Sandy Bay today.
Four people died on the spot while the other died at the Accident and Emergency section at the Georgetown hospital.
Another person is in critical condition with a severe head injury.
The identities of some of the deceased individuals are known to One News SVG team members but have been withheld until confirmed by the police.
A complete wreckage
Reports are that mini bus – H8190 was transporting about nine (9) passengers from Clare Valley, South Leeward, to a funeral at Owia, North Windward when it overturned in Old Sandy Bay.
The vehicle is now a complete wreckage.
