Clare Valley in mourning seven years after Rock Gutter tragedy

Members of the South Leeward community of Clare Valley are mourning the loss of several of their loved ones who died tragically today (September 11) in a vehicular accident at Old Sandy Bay in North Windward.

Several families are in mourning especially the Louie family.

According to reports, a mini bus – H8190 overturned with multiple passengers who were being transported from Clare Valley to attend a funeral in Owia.

The funeral was that of the late murder victim Rohan ‘Charla’ Rawlins.

Today’s accident has occurred more than seven (7) years after seven school children lost their lives tragically in the January 2015 Rock Gutter accident, North Windward. (Updated)

The death toll from today’s tragedy was still unconfirmed up to press time, but officials have told One News St. Vincent that 5 people are believed to be dead as a result of the tragedy. The toll could rise (updated 6:44 p.m.).

The driver of the vehicle – Napata ‘Tumba’ Louie is injured.
