140 Taiwan bursaries handed out to students across SVG

One-hundred-and-forty bursaries were handed to students across St. Vincent and the Grenadines from the Government of Taiwan.

The recipients include students from different divisions of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College and from secondary schools. 

The bursaries were handed over during a ceremony held on December 9, 2022 at the SVG Community College.

According to a release from the Agency for Public Information – API, Director of the SVGCC, Nigel Scott, in his opening remarks said the Community College Campus and the Scholarship Bursary Programme are a “reflection and indication of what partnership and friendship” is about.

Ambassador H.E. Peter Shai-Li Lan in his remarks, said this is the twenty- fifth ceremony held to hand over Bursary Scholarships to recipients in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

He said: “Education cooperation is probably one of the strongest pillars of the cooperation between Taiwan and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”
