By Admin. Updated 2:26 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022, Atlantic Standard Time (GMT-4).

The World Pediatric Project – WPP is currently hosting a Laparoscopic Surgery Mission here in St. Vincent.

According to NHS, Laparoscopy is a type of surgical procedure that allows a surgeon to access the inside of the abdomen (tummy) and pelvis without having to make large incisions in the skin.

The current mission here in SVG seeks to build capacity for surgeons locally and regionally.

The training covers both practical and theoretical components and  includes  visiting surgeons from St. Kitts, and, St. Lucia as well as 5 local surgeons here in SVG.

The World Pediatric Project says the Mission is made possible through the support and sponsorship of The Mustique Charitable Foundation.
