The St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Cane End Mesopotamia has commenced preparations for its 100th anniversary in 2023.
According to a release, the church was established on June 23, 1923, and will celebrate its 100th anniversary on June 3rd, 2023.
The church announced that it commenced its 100ty anniversary celebrations on December 6 and they will end on June 4, 2023.
A number of events will be held.
Celebrations will continue with Holy Mass on the Feast of St John the Evangelist, Patron Saint of the Church, on Tuesday December 27th 2022 at 7.00 p.m. at the Church in Mespo.
