The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said it is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a partially decomposed body in Argyle.

In an April 25 press release, the RSVGPF said the discovery was made on April 24, 2024, at about 3:00 pm.

In the press release, the RSVGPF said “Police Officers from the Biabou Police Station received the report and responded to it where they met the male body lying naked on his back. The deceased was later identified by a relative to be that of Arnis Marshall, a retiree over the age of 60”.

His body was discovered at his residence.

“It was reported that his daughter called him about 2:30 pm that same day but he did not respond. She later sent someone to check on him which led to the discovery. The body was pronounced dead on the scene by Dr Maikel Macco and Magistrate Colin John authorized the removal of the body,” police said.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted to determine the cause of death, police said.

The RSVGPF said it is diligently continuing this investigation and asks anyone with information to contact Police Emergency at 999/911, the Calliaqua Police Station at 784-458-4200 or the Stubbs Police Station at 784-458-4210.

The RSVGPF said during this challenging time, it expresses its deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased.
