A police officer has been charged with three offences, including the attempted murder of a woman believed to be his former girlfriend.
Kyle Nimblet, the accused officer, appeared before the Kingstown Magistrates’ Court this morning (9 September), where he was formally charged with attempted murder, damage to property, and criminal trespass.
As the charge of attempted murder is indictable, bail was opposed.
He is being represented by lawyer Grant Connel.
Background
The accused is reported to have entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, Raffie Sardine, on Saturday in Villa.
He is alleged to have inflicted more than 20 stab wounds on the victim.
The victim survived the attack; however, ANN news reported that she said she and her mother fear for their lives.
The victim and the accused reportedly ended their relationship approximately one month ago.
