A 21-year-old man from Lowmans Leeward is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court today after being charged in connection with the fatal shooting that claimed the life of a St Lucian national and left two other men injured.
The accused, Delroy Harry, was processed at the Criminal Investigations Department on Wednesday before being formally charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder arising from the June 23 incident at Lowmans Leeward.
Police allege that Harry murdered Troy Cassely, 34, a national of St Lucia, during the shooting, which occurred shortly after 5 p.m.
He has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder in relation to injuries sustained by a 33-year-old man from Campden Park and a 22-year-old man from Lower Questelles during the same incident.

According to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area and discovered Cassely suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead by the District Medical Officer.
In a statement, the police said the charges were brought following investigations led by detectives attached to the Major Crime Unit with support from other officers.
The RSVGPF also extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The matter is expected to be called before the Serious Offences Court later today.
As court proceedings are pending, it should be noted that the accused is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
