The Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA) is encouraging industry stakeholders, businesses and members of the public to register for the CannaBiz SVG Festival 2026, which runs from October 29 to 31 in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Held under the theme “Cultivating Strategic Partnerships for Cooperation and Trade”, the three-day festival will feature an industry conference, a public exhibition, a youth symposium and a tour of traditional cultivator farms along the island’s leeward coast.

The festival opens on Thursday, October 29, with a ceremony at Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown at 9:00 a.m. This will be followed by the Medicinal Cannabis Conference, scheduled for 9:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The conference will examine regional cooperation, international trade, regulatory developments and the integration of traditional cultivators into the regulated medicinal cannabis industry. Registration costs EC$165, with a discounted rate of EC$100 for Vincentian nationals.

Peace Memorial Hall will also host a two-day exhibition on October 29 and 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Open to the public, the exhibition will allow businesses, cultivators and entrepreneurs to showcase their products, services and innovations while connecting with potential partners.

On Friday, October 30, the MCA and several partner organisations will host a National Youth Symposium under the theme “Healthy Minds, Healthy Futures” at the University of the West Indies Global Campus, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The symposium is primarily aimed at students aged 13 to 15 and will focus on substance misuse prevention, resilience and healthy decision-making. Through presentations, interactive discussions and breakout sessions, participants will explore issues including peer pressure, mental health, misinformation and the transition to secondary school.

The initiative is intended to equip young people with practical knowledge and skills while helping to inform future prevention and education programmes.

The festival concludes on Saturday, October 31, with a Medicinal Cannabis Tour & Cruise. Departing from the Kingstown Cruise Terminal at 10:00 a.m., the tour will take participants along the island’s scenic leeward coast, including visits to traditional cultivator farms. The activity is intended to provide firsthand insight into the country’s cultivation heritage and the place of traditional cultivators within the regulated industry.

The tour is scheduled to end at 5:00 p.m. Tickets cost EC$165 per person.

According to the MCA, registration for the festival is open through its website, cannabizsvg.gov.vc. Payments are accepted in cash only and may be made in advance.

Persons seeking assistance with registration, ticket purchases or other enquiries can contact the MCA at 784-456-8113 or 784-456-8202.

The authority is encouraging Vincentians to participate in the festival, which is intended to create opportunities for industry engagement, business networking and public education as the country’s medicinal cannabis sector continues to develop.
