8 Advance to finals of National Corporate Public Speaking Championship

Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Eight participants have advanced to the finals of National Corporate Public Speaking Championship (NCPSC), after succeeding at the semi-finals on May 23.

Fifteen (15) participants competed in the semi-finals.

The finals of the championship is slated for Saturday, June 27, 2020.

A release from the organizers of the championship states that the finalists are Terrece John of Coreas Distribution Ltd; Andreka Samuel of GECCU; Ruth Stowe of KCCU; Shaniese Cole of Massy Stores; Aviar Charles of NIS; Sylvorn Lavia of RSGVPF; Elingford Roban Jr. of SVGTA; and
Nicolette Nichols of the Treasury Department.

The championship is being held during the COVID-19 pandemic, where social and physical distancing are being promoted.

But, the organizers say the NCPSC “executive ensured that all Covid-19 protocols were followed”.

An award was also handed out at the semi-finals.

Ms. Desiree Richards was awarded the honor of first Patron of NCPSC and was recognized for her outstanding contribution to the country in the fields of communication and leadership.

International Airport, Terrece John representing Coreas Distribution Limited, Geniene Browne representing CWSA, Andreka Samuel representing General Employees Cooperative Credit Union, Ruth Stowe representing Kingstown Cooperative Credit Union, Terry Clarke representing KPMG, Shaniese Cole representing Massy Stores, Ronika Boyd representing NTRC, Courtney Cumberbatch and Joanna Nwogu both representing Metrocint General Insurance Company Limited, Aviar Charles representing National Insurance Services, Sylvorn Lavia representing the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Elingford Roban Jr. representing St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authoity, Jada Ross representing the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Squash Association, and Nicolette Nichols representing the Treasury Department.
