Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Air Canada Rouge and American Airlines are scheduled to resume operation of commercial flights to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in July 2020.
Tourism Minister Cecil McKie, told Parliament on June 22, that American Airlines is scheduled to fly to the Argyle International Airport on July 11, while Air Canada Rouge was scheduled to fly in on July 2, but has rescheduled to July 23, 2020.
But, McKie said there is “uncertainty” in the airline industry due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
He said there is currently no indication from Caribbean Airlines (CAL), and LIAT as to when they will resume operation of flights into St. Vincent.
As for the cruise industry, McKie said there is no certainty of cruises coming to the country for the rest of the year.
