Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), says that the arrival protocols for American Airlines flights arriving from Miami have been amended “with immediate effect”.
In a release on Friday (July 17), NEMO says the updated protocols are based on the “the significant number of new COVID-19 cases related to AA 945 on Saturday 11, and the worsening situation relative to COVID-19 in the United States of America, especially Miami, Florida, the origin of the AA 945”.
The new protocols amended by the Health Services Subcommittee of NEMO includes that passengers arriving on AA 945 on July 18 from Miami Internal Airport “will be subject to five (5) days mandatory quarantine,” the release states.
The protocols also includes the possibility of a second PCR test being conducted on the arriving passengers between day 5 and day 7 “to determine further continuation of quarantine,” the release states.
Passengers who arrive without a PCR test result will be tested at the Argyle International Airport.
