Georgetown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Ten (10) clients and seven (7) staff members at the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Center (Georgetown Hospital) are now in quarantine after possible exposure to COVID-19.

In a release issued tonight (September 16), the National Emergency Management Organization – NEMO states that a person known to be COVID-19 positive visited the area.

The individual, who was informed of their COVID-19 positive result on Friday, September 11, 2020, and served with a Medical Officer Order, violated the isolation order, thus possibly exposing others to the COVID-19 virus, the release states.

The release states that the Accident and Emergency Department of the health facility has been temporarily shut to allow for sanitization of the department.
