PM thanks front-line workers

Kingstown, St. Vincent (ONE NEWS SVG) – Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has congratulated this country’s front-line workers for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While giving his congratulatory remarks in Parliament today (December 28, 2020), Dr. Gonsalves commended Nurses, Doctors, Technicians, Police, Coast Guard and other officials.

Dr. Gonsalves said that this country’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic did not happen by luck, but by the hard work of a number of people.

He said that front-line workers did marvelous job and must be given an appropriate honorarium.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said in Parliament today that a report from the Commissioner of Police says that the Christmas period was relatively calm when compared with other Christmas periods.

He said there were no major crimes or incidents over the Christmas period of 2020.
