According to World Bank 2022 figures, the life expectancy in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is 72.66 years, but a Park Hill resident has long surpassed that.

Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Adams, known as ‘Tanty’, turned 100 today, November 23, 2022.

The Park Hill resident was visited by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, the area representative for North Central Windward.

She also visited by the Governor General Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan.

The centenarian is well-known in the community as she gained notoriety in her younger years for selling the best chocolate from ground cocoa for making tea.

This story will be updated.
