The Union Island Tourist Board launched a modern welcome sign today at the Hugh Mulzac Square in Clifton, Union Island.
The sign is the first of its kind in the country and will be lit at nights.

Launched also was a cenotaph in commemoration of celebrated naval officer – Captain Hugh Mulzac who served in the US Navy but was born on Union Island.
The activities were part of the tourism board’s efforts to update the island’s tourism product for the 2022/2023 tourism season.
Chairman of the Union Island Tourist Board Mr. Stanton Gomes thanked his staff of for their “hard work” in executing the revitalization of Hugh Mulzac Square while thanking former board members of the Tourism Board for their work over the years to develop the square.
Meanwhile, Director of Grenadines Affairs, Mr. Edwin Snagg urged the people of Union Island to continue improving the island’s tourism and to keep it clean.
Mr. Snagg also thanked those responsible for developing and improving the Hugh Mulzac Square over the years.
