All 18 Savannah Gutter accident victims discharged from hospital

Some 18 persons who were taken to the hospital after Thursday’s accident at Savannah Gutter have been discharged, One News SVG can confirm.

Persons who were involved in the accident on Thursday, March 2, where a minibus overturned at Savanah Gutter in North Windward were taken to the Modern Medical Complex at Georgetown for treatment.

Several of the injured persons were students from the North Windward communities of Owia and Fancy. Some of them were headed home late as a result of transportation difficulties associated with the hosting of a sports day event by a rural secondary school.

According to reports, the injuries sustained were minor and they were all discharged last night.

The minibus – HR981 overturned in the Savannah Gutter area while en route to Sandy Bay.
