The National Lotteries Authority – NLA, the main sponsor of the 2023 Inter-Secondary Schools’ Athletics Championship has only highlighted the male winners of the competition – The St. Vincent Grammar School.
In a post made on the NLA’s page, the NLA said: “Congratulations to the St. Vincent Boys Grammar School on winning the 2023 NLA Inter Secondary Schools Boys Atlethics Champions.”
The post featured one photo of the Grammar School.
Up to press time, no post was found on NLA’s Facebook page featuring the five-time female champions of the inter-secondary school sports – the Central Leeward Secondary School.
The NLA post left persons asking in the comments for the highlight of Central Leeward (Barrouallie) Secondary.
The finals of the 2023 Inter-Secondary School Athletics Championship was held at the Sir Vincent Beache Track/Stadium at Diamond on March 30.
The St. Vincent Grammar School finished the finals today at the Sir. Vincent Beache Track/Stadium with 314 points. The Central Leeward (Barrouallie) Secondary finished second for the boys’ category with 310 points, and the St. Martins Secondary finished third with 276 points.
In the girls’ category, Central Leeward (Barrouallie) Secondary School finished first with 398 points. The Girls’ High School placed second with 228 points, and the Georgetown Secondary placed third in the girls’ category with 212 points.
