Memorial Funeral Home and Asbert News Network treat 60 mothers at hospital with lunches and gifts

Over 60 individuals at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital including staff and patients in the female wards were treated to lunch and gifts from Memorial Funeral Home today.

The Mother’s Day treat which was also organized by Asbert News Network – ANN was well-received by mothers at the hospital’s female medical and surgical wards and the maternity ward.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and owner of Memorial Funeral Home Mr. Stephen Dasilva told One News SVG “We always look for ways to give back to the community – to the hospital, to the police stations, to the schools”.

“We are community-oriented. We always look at an opportunity where we can give back,” he said.

“It’s one thing to be in business and making money, but you have to also contribute back to the society. Even the Bible says you must give and we are excited to be at the hospital to give back on Mother’s Day,” Mr. Dasilva said.

The caterer prepares plates to be distributed to patients and staff.

Meanwhile, Sister Jillian Primas – Departmental Manager on duty at the nursing administration at MCMH thanked Mr. Da Silva for the donation.

She said the Mother’s Day treat went a long way in helping to lift the spirits of the staff and patients. She said most of the nurses are mothers and on Mother’s Day they were being recognized and appreciated for their hard work and dedication.
