Vincentians with a background in business development, entrepreneurship or project management now have an opportunity to join the Centre for Enterprise Development Inc. (CED), which is seeking applications for the post of Business Development Officer.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across St Vincent and the Grenadines by providing first-level business and technical support.

According to the vacancy notice, the officer will help entrepreneurs develop business plans, access financing, formalise and expand their businesses, and identify practical solutions to challenges affecting existing enterprises.

The role also includes delivering mentorship and training, working with community groups, representing CED on committees that promote sustainable development, and providing on-site support to MSMEs.

Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Project Management or a related field. A minimum of three years’ experience in the business sector will be considered an asset.

CED is also looking for someone with knowledge of the local MSME and entrepreneurship landscape, strong analytical and project management skills, and excellent communication and organisational abilities. 

The ideal candidate should be goal-oriented, adaptable, resilient and committed to helping entrepreneurs succeed.
